THIS IS AMERICA "THE STITCHING" WEARABLE ARTS FASHION SHOW

August 22, 2020

5 Points Art Gallery & Studios hosts its first wearable arts fashion show, entitled, This Is America: The Stitching, a spin-off to its current This Is America group visual arts exhibition.

The virtual fashion show features more than 30 original designs by approximately 20 artists of color, approximately boldly demonstrating their stitching together of America and ingenuity, as they've creatively converted 2-D visual arts, found objects and more into wearable couture. From unique accessories to full costume, both collaboratively and independently created, the breadth of works will surely be impressive.

Broadcasting via YouTube, with link provided upon ticket purchase, this pre-recorded fashion show will also include artist interviews, model snapshots, show-concurrent online purchase access, highlights from the visual arts exhibition, and a live musical performance.

This special addition to the poignant This Is America: The Stitching Wearable Arts Exhibition series you will not want to miss! Don’t sleep on the movement!
